Lesson: 3 - Recap of Open office – Impress

Purpose : To recall about open office impressions and the features that are important to create a presentation.

Materials Required

Desktop or Laptop computer.

Curriculum Content 3.2) DL Activities - Presentation.

Prior knowledge

Students should have already learnt presentations with Openoffice Impress and be able to recall basic operations.

Exercises

Exercise:1


  1. Create a presentation on some topic by using some pictures and videos. (Need to download video and pictures). They would need to use a format factory for conversion of videos to AVI.

  2. To the same presentation, add a quiz using interaction, animations etc.

    Teacher's Instruction
    1. Teachers should encourage the students to recollect all the technical names. Eg: Slide transition, custom animation, master page, slide show, layouts, master pages etc.
    2. Show some presentations the students did and ask them to recall how they did the various steps. Esp. things that are not covered in the above exercises.
    3. Recall all the things the students learnt last year with presentations. Some of the things that are not included in this lesson should also be recalled like Fontwork gallery, master pages. motion path, interaction and trigger etc.
    4. Ask all the students to recall the project work that they did and the features of presentation that they used in the project.
